Ep. 161 - Dietary Fats - An Overview - The MultiDimensional MD

Happy Wednesday!

Today we are going to do a mini-med school on healthy and hazardous fats in our diet.

I've noticed that people love to see photos and graphics in the podcasts!

So, I'll tour you through some of the basic molecular chemistry structures of fatty acids.

What are saturated vs monosaturated vs polyunsaturated fats?

What are omega-3s vs omega-6s?

Why does it matter?

Every cell membrane in our body requires fats to ensure membrane integrity and proper protein signaling and function and more.

Our brains are full of fats! The myelin sheath is a fatty later of cells that wraps and insulates the axons of nerve cells so that their electrical signals get sent smoothly. Your thoughts are literally electricity, so this is uber-important for cognition.

Your body needs fatty acids to make certain hormones, including cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. If you have adrenal fatigue or other hormonal imbalances, then listen up.

I'll also go over other illnesses that could benefit from adjusting what kinds of fats you eat.

Join me NOW for Ep. 161 - What you need to know about - An Overview - on The MultiDimensional MD.

Lots of love,
